In-home newborn sessions are one of my favorite things to photograph. They’re calm, cozy, and personal. You don’t have to leave the house, pack a bag, or worry about getting everyone out the door on time. You just get to settle in, snuggle your baby, and let me take care of the rest.
I recently did an in-home session with a sweet family and their brand-new baby boy. Big sister was a little hesitant at first – she wasn’t too sure about having her photo taken, which is totally normal. But since we were in her own space, she was able to take breaks, play with Grandma in her room, and come back when she was ready. By the end, we captured some really sweet moments between her and the baby. That kind of flexibility is one of the reasons I love photographing newborns at home.
You don’t have to go anywhere
Everything you need is already right there – snacks, diapers, comfy clothes, a place to feed the baby. Whether we use the nursery, your bedroom, or a cozy corner in the living room, I’ll find the best light and guide you through everything.

It’s not just about baby photos
I always take time for individual baby shots, but some of my favorite photos are the ones with the whole family. Parents snuggling their new little one, siblings getting curious (or silly), and those quiet little moments in between. It all tells your story.

Everyone feels more relaxed at home
The pace is slower, and you’re in a space that feels familiar. I don’t rush through anything – we follow your baby’s lead and take breaks whenever needed. And if your toddler needs a snack or a moment to reset, that’s totally fine. These sessions are meant to feel like you.

What to expect from in-home newborn sessions
- We go at your baby’s pace—there’s no pressure or rush
- I bring swaddles, a posing bed if we need it, and can help with outfits
- You don’t need a picture-perfect home—just a few windows and your family

P.S. Prefer a studio setting? That’s still an option too!
Some families love the simplicity of coming to my studio, especially if they want a clean, neutral backdrop or don’t feel up to straightening up at home. Both options are beautiful – we’ll choose what works best for your family.
