More than just pretty pictures.

Your family’s story is yours, and I’m here to capture it in a way that feels real. The big laughs, the quiet snuggles, the in-between moments you didn’t even realize were happening—these are the ones you’ll always want to remember.

Sessions are relaxed and fun, all about real connection. I’ll guide you from outfit help (with full access to my client closet!) to a quick planning call before your session.

Afterward, we’ll meet for a purchasing appointment, where you’ll see your images and choose how to display them. The whole process is simple, stress-free, and made for you.

"Anne is so great to work with! She is patient and has the sweetest ideas for poses. She positions and prompts us perfectly to capture real, genuine emotion. We worked with her for couple photos and our first family photo session and it won’t be our last!" - Megan

Family Photos FAQs

What should we wear for family photos?

We want the focus to be on you, not your clothes! Choose something flattering and comfortable, and go for coordinating over matching. Earth tones and muted colors tend to photograph beautifully. I’ve written a detailed blog post with examples [Choosing Outfits for Family Photos], and when you book, you’ll also get personalized styling help and access to my client closet.

Why should I book a family photoshoot?

It’s cliché, but time really does fly! Photos let you freeze this season of life before it slips by. And if you’re anything like me, you’re probably the one taking all the photos—so this is your chance to be in them, too!

What colors look best for family pictures?

Stick with soft, neutral, or earth-toned colors to keep the focus on your family. Avoid neon, overly bright shades, or too much black since they can be distracting. Need help? I’ve put together a guide on what to wear [What To Wear for Family Photos ], and I’ll also help with styling when you book!

How long does a family photoshoot last?

Sessions typically last 1.5 to 2 hours, giving us plenty of time to capture a variety of moments—including each parent with each child and some sweet ones of just the two of you!

When will I get my photos?

Your images will be ready within 4-5 weeks, and we’ll schedule your purchasing appointment as soon as they’re finished. During this personalized appointment, you’ll get to select your favorite images and choose from heirloom-quality albums, wall art, and digital collections. Most products are ready within 4 weeks of purchasing.

What’s the best way to display our family photos?

These photos deserve to be seen, not just stored on a computer! Whether it’s a statement piece like a large framed print or canvas for your home, a gallery wall filled with smaller framed prints, or an album your kids will love flipping through, I’ll help you choose the best way to showcase your memories. Gift prints for grandparents are always a favorite, too!

Are digital files included?

Digital files are not included in the session fee but are available for purchase separately. After your session, we’ll meet for a personalized ordering appointment where you can select your favorite images and choose from digital collections, heirloom-quality albums, and framed prints.

Can we include our pet in our family photos?

Yes! Pets are always welcome in family sessions. Since they’ll be in some (but not all) of the photos, it helps to bring an extra set of hands to keep them happy between shots. Don’t forget a leash, water, and a few treats!
