Family Photos in Colorado Springs: Fun at Palmer Park

A beautiful summer night, golden light glowing through the trees, and a family I love. Palmer Park was the perfect setting for these family photos in Colorado Springs. As a family photographer, I get to capture so many special moments, and this session was extra meaningful because it featured my own sister and her wonderful family!

A Fun-Filled Family Session

My niece and nephews are always fun to be around—sweet, funny, and full of energy! Their personalities came through in every shot, making for some really sweet moments. While I love all the images from this session, the photos of Mom and Dad with the kids are some of my favorites. You can really see the love between them.

Outfit Coordination Made Easy

For this session, my sister wore one of the beautiful dresses from my client closet, which worked perfectly with the natural tones of Palmer Park. We worked together to coordinate the rest of the outfits, making sure everything looked great together without feeling too matchy. Outfits make such a difference in how photos come together, and I love helping families find looks that feel natural and timeless.

Kind Words from My Sister

It always means a lot when families trust me to capture their memories—especially when it’s my own family! My sister shared this sweet review after our session:

“Anne is always so fantastic to work with. We have had many sessions with her over the years, and I am more and more impressed each time. She’s great at what she does, and makes sure even the most unwilling participants have a great time! Thanks for capturing such precious memories for us, Anne!”

My loves 😍 I finally got my own family in front of the camera and I totally get why it’s so hard to make it happen. Life gets busy, kids grow up, and suddenly it’s been too long! Not to mention the agony of shopping for 7 people!! But it was 100% worth it. And I’m definitely hiring someone next time so I can be in more…

If you’ve been putting it off too… maybe this is your sign. ❤️ Your Colorado Springs Family Photographer

Look at all these humans we made from scratch (ok, we had a little help from the Man upstairs). We did good. You know how it goes - the photographer’s family is always the last to get photos. Finally have an updated pic for the wall!
