How They Met
Enjoy the story of how these lovebirds met, from Jared’s point of view!
So I had this friend in one of my engineering classes who was having a movie night and at the time I was trying my best to meet new people particularly cute girls!
So I ended up walking to my friends house for the movie night and when I got there he said we were gonna go and pick up the girl that he liked at the time and her cousin. So as we were driving I was trying to get information so I didn’t accidentally go for the girl he liked but we walked into their apartment and thought in my head I’m glad I came to this movie night instead of going to the sand dunes with my roommates. I thought Aneliesse was super cute!
Then we all go and get pizza and go back to his appartment to watch the movie. I was told it was a get together but it just turned out to be me, my friend, Aneliesse, and Aneliesse’s cousin so it kinda turned into a double date which I was fine with!!
Then when my friend was driving us all home he stopped his car in the middle of the entrance of the parking garage so I had to get out of the car really quick but I wanted to ask out aneliesse. So to try and get out quick I told Aneliesse if she ever wanted to hang out just ask my friend for my number then I jumped out of the car. I was disappointed I didn’t get her number. But BYUI’s next devotional I was asking my friend what Aneliesse thought of me as we were walking to devotional and I split off to go sit with my roommates and as I am heading that way I ran into Aneliesse!!
I finally could ask for her number and ask her out I was so happy! It was funny when she put her name into my phone she typed her name in all caps so I was like okay this is good! And as I got to know her well she was exactly what I’ve always dreamed of.
There were many guys after her at the time but I eventually won the battle (:
